Now that it’s December we don’t feel at all guilty about cranking up the Christmas music, getting the Christmas card list out and starting to plan our decorations.

There are lots of ways you can make special decorations for your home or your friends and family to bring them a little festive joy.  It’s a great way to use up odds and ends of yarn and, best of all, there are lots of free patterns on our website.

Why not create a garland of lovely stars in all kinds of colours and decorate them with buttons, sequins or beads? You will find the free pattern here. Our stars are made in Highland Heathers DK in Brose, Gorse, Bracken, Thrift, Firth and Hawthorn.

This little mitt is perfect to hang on your tree.  You could even stuff them with little treats. We used Highland Heathers DK in Brose and Firth.

Add a personal touch to your gift wrapping with this lovely, crocheted bow. Super quick and super-easy, we used Highland Heathers DK in Brose and Thrift.

There are lots more patterns on our website including a bell, stocking, bauble, Christmas tree and wreath.  We’d love to see pictures of them on or under your tree so make sure you share them with us on Facebook or tag #Stylecraftyarns on Instagram.
