Mindful crochet with Polly Plum

One of our lovely Blogstars, Polly Plum from Every Trick on the Hook is launching an absolutely beautiful new Mandala CAL called Wild, Wild Wallflower on 1st September and finishing on Sunday September 15th.

We just love the way Polly puts colour together and this is a riot of optimistic shades.  It is made in Special DK, but would also make a great stash buster for you and is a fun, quick project.  We think this could be a great Christmas gift.

She told us: “I designed this mandala during a very stressful time. I was just about to have a baby. The baby and I were both very healthy, but everything else seemed to be going wrong. Designing this was a chance to break away from the stress and focus on something within my control. Mandalas are all about mindfulness, and designing this mandala helped me to be mindful and focused on the present and positive when I would have otherwise let anxiety take over. I hope this mandala helps others find a little bit of peace through mindfulness too.”

Polly has created some great videos and photo tutorials which will accompany each of the three parts and you will find the links on her website or in her Facebook group called Polly Plum Pattern Posse.

The pattern is available through Ravelry here if you want to have the pdf in your library but there will be a free version on her website as well.
