We love making toys, they are such satisfying projects, so we are delighted to launch a collection of gorgeous toys, specially created by our Blogstar, Emma Varnam. woodland group 2The collection, called Woodland toys, features a cheeky owl a speedy hare, a family of super-cute mice, a bonny badger and a happy fox, all crocheted in Life DK. These are small toys which you can make quickly and would make perfect gifts for treasured children. We love Emma’s toy designs, so we are particularly thrilled that she has been able to create these lovely toys for us. We think the crocheters among you are going to love them as well. mice group 1Emma told us where the inspiration for these characters came from: “When I was a little girl I loved to dress up my toys and think of grand imaginary adventures we could have.  For a long time, I have wanted to design toys which reflect our beautiful countryside and our native wild animals.” fox and badgerEmma has used Life DK for the projects balancing the nepp shades with more vivid colours for their accessories and clothes.
