You will need: 5mm (UK 6 - USA H/8) crochet hook, locking stitch markers.

SWEATER

BACK AND FRONT
Extra rows of patt are worked on each side edge of Daisy Square to make the back and front wider. Read note on picking up sts.

Side panels work 2 on opposite edges of Daisy Square
With rs of work facing and using 5mm hook, work in next colour in stripe sequence starting in corner 2ch-sp at beg of side edge and work as follows:

Row 1 (rs): (1 standing tr or 3ch if using same colour, 1tr, 2ch, 2tr) in same corner 2ch sp, miss 2 sts, 3tr in sp between missed 2 sts and first 3tr group, 3tr in each sp between 3tr groups to last 2 sts on this side, working 3tr in sp before last 2 sts, miss last 2 sts, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) 3tr in last corner 2ch-sp, turn.

Row 2: 1 standing tr or 3ch if using same colour (counts as 1tr), 3tr in each sp between 3tr groups to last 3tr group, 1tr in top of last tr, turn.

Row 3: (1 standing tr or 3ch if using same colour, 1tr, 2ch, 2tr) in first sp between 1tr and 3tr group, 3tr in each sp between 3tr groups to last sp, working 3tr in last sp, turn.
Keeping stripe sequence correct and with rs always facing, rep rows 1 2 and 3 until side panel measures approx. 4[6:6:7:9:10]cm, 1½[2½:2½:2¾:3½:4]in. Note: carry unused yarn loosely between stripes.

Cut yarn and fasten off.
