Annelies Baes designed this lovely v stitch corner to corner blanket with flower motif edging at one end, all finished off with a simple border. The matching cushion features the flower motifs in a three by three grid.

Batik
Batik is a wool and acrylic yarn with a lovely round twist to it. The colour effect is a painted semi-solid look that gives beautifully subtle tonal hues when knitted up. The original palette was influenced by the rich and opulent colours of Morocco but the range has expanded to include more subtle shades too.

Batik Elements is the sister yarn to Batik DK and here the painterly effect has been used to make a beautiful melange yarn using many colours in each shade. The yarn has a round characteristic and is a wool and acrylic mix. You can use it with Batik or Life DK to create striped effects.

YOU WILL NEED Pair of 10 mm (UK 000 / US 15) Knitting needles. Stitch holder. Jacket: 5 buttons. Round 6: 1ch, remove marker, 1dc in corner st, *(3ch, miss 2dc, 1dc in next dc) along side to last 2sts before next corner st, 3ch, remove marker and work (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) in corner st**, rep from * 1 more time, (3ch, miss 2dc, 1dc in next dc) along 3rd side to corner st (ending with 1dc in corner st). Leave work to rest. The last side with the 2 corners will be worked later to join the motif section.
