Blogstars On The Beach
Wednesday 14th June 2023
Summer is here and our lovely Blogstars have been inspired to design a collection that looks forward to lazy summer days on the beautiful beaches we have around our coast, and you’re invited!
Using a palette of exotic brights and sugary pastels from Naturals Bamboo+Cotton and Organic Cotton, the Blogstars will wow you with their vibrant projects created especially for you.
Catherine from Catherine’s Crochet Corner has created the most stunning parasol that reminds us of deckchair stripes and is the perfect way to protect yourself from the sun’s rays using Organic Cotton.
Helen from Crystals and Crochet has designed a Mandala bolster cushion that uses sweet shop colours in Organic Cotton. Just rest your head and grab your latest read.
Do you remember exploring rockpools as a child? Then Lucia from Lucia’s Fig Tree has a treat for you with this crochet bag featuring starfish, anemones, and coral in Organic Cotton.
For the knitters, what could be more summery than Phil Saul’s oh so cute summery top using a rich floral palette in Organic Cotton. Find out more about the design on Phil’s blog – The Twisted Yarn.
How practical is this towel holder designed by Emily from The Loopy Stitch with its pretty crocheted motifs in Organic Cotton? If anyone knows what you need for beach living, it’s Emily who lives on the Sunshine Coast in Australia: “I don't know about you, but our family takes a lot of stuff to the beach, and this is such a handy accessory to have (especially to free up your hands so you can obviously carry your yarn and hooks).... I mean that's what we do at the beach, isn't it?”
Emma Varnam has created a vibrant granny square beach bag in Organic Cotton, which is just the perfect size to take your knitting or crochet project with you. Emma told us: “This fun looking bag has all the joyful appeal of boho chic. Surprisingly spacious, it is ideal to store your towel and costume on a trip to the beach.”
As the day comes to an end you will want to keep the chill off with this beautiful blanket that is very easy to make. Justina from Polly Plum has taken the colour of a summery sky as her inspiration and framed it with a border of bright shades in Organic Cotton.
All these designs are launching today, so get your hooks and needles ready for a treat. And watch out for fun videos of the designs over on our TikTok
